What is Vertigo?
Vertigo is the sensation that you or your surroundings are spinning or moving when there is no actual movement. It is commonly associated with nausea and balance problems and may worsen with certain head positions or movements.
One of the most common causes of vertigo is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), which often causes dizziness when:
- Rolling over in bed
- Getting up in the morning
- Looking upward
- Tilting the head back
What is Vestibular Rehabilitation?
Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialised, exercise-based physiotherapy treatment designed to improve balance, reduce dizziness, and retrain the vestibular (balance) system.
